# MJX Library app for Android

> Get the MJX Library app, sign in or create your library, and find every desk task — admissions, fees, seats, lending and scanning — on the phone.

The MJX Library app puts the whole library desk on an Android phone: new admissions, fees and renewals with WhatsApp receipts, the seat map, check-in, and book lending with the camera as a scanner. It uses the same account and data as the website.

## How to sign in or create your library

The first screen says **Run your library from your phone** with **Seats and shifts**, **Monthly fees and receipts** and **Books and lending**.

### Steps to create a new library in the app
1. Tap [[Create my library]].
2. Fill in **Library name**, **Your name**, **Mobile number**, **Email** ("Receipts and your plan's bills go here."), **Password** (at least 8 characters), **PIN code (optional)**, **City** and **State**.
3. Tap [[Create my library]]. "Your free trial starts today. Add shifts, seats and members next."

### Steps to sign in to an existing library
1. Tap **I already have an account**.
2. Type your **Mobile number or email** and **Password** — "The same login as your library's website." — and tap [[Sign in]].
3. Or tap **Sign in with a code**, then [[Send me a code]]. The code comes on WhatsApp and by email.
4. If your login opens more than one library, pick one under **Pick your library**.

The first time, the owner sees **Set up your library — 1 minute**: type how many **Seats**, a letter they **Start with**, tick the shifts you run (tap a time to change it) and tap [[Start using my library]].

## What is on the screen?

### The bottom bar

**Home · Books · Members · Seats · More.** It is the same for every login; what each person may do is cut on Home's tiles and in the sidebar.

### Home

The top says **My Library** with a search box, **Search books, members…**. Below it are six tiles:

Rows a login may not use are not shown: Money and Reports for the owner and admins only; Print labels and Setup for the owner and admins; Lending desk for those who may lend.

## Doing the daily work in the app

- **Today — who needs you** shows **Collected today** (owner and admin), **Seats free now**, **Fees due**, **Needs you today** with [[Renew]] or **Take ₹…** and **Remind on WhatsApp**, and **Inside now** with [[Check out]].
- **New admission** has three steps — the member, **Seat & time**, then **Payment** — and ends on a receipt you can share on WhatsApp.
- **Take fee / Renew** asks "who?", then shows what they owe or lets you [[Renew]] with the same seat, or [[Change seat]].
- **Check in / out** asks "who?" and flips them in or out. **Check-in register** shows any day.

## Scanning books with the phone

Tap a scan button ("Scan the barcode", "Scan the book", "Scan the member's card"). Hold the barcode on the back of the book, the copy's label or the member's card in front of the camera. Use **Torch** in a dark room, or **Type it instead** ("ISBN, copy number or member code") and [[Use this]]. A Bluetooth barcode gun paired to the phone works too.

- **Issue a book:** scan the book, choose the copy, scan the member's card (or **Choose a member**), check **Due back**, tap [[Issue book]].
- **Take back:** on the Lending desk, scan the copy. You see "Book is back" and, if it is late, "Back. Fine to collect: ₹…".
- **Books:** [[Add book]] with [[Scan the barcode]] for the ISBN; on a book, [[Add copies]], [[Scan copy labels]] and [[Print labels]].

## Account, plan and payments

This screen shows your **Name**, **Mobile**, **Library code**, and your plan — **Free trial** with the days left, or **Paid till** a date. Tap [[Upgrade now]] (or [[Upgrade or pay]]), pick **Monthly** or **Yearly**, and pay. "Paid to MJX Technologies through Razorpay — UPI, cards or net banking." Basic keeps your remaining free trial days; Pro starts at once.

If the account is paused, the app shows what is owed (for example a **WhatsApp bill**) with [[Pay now]] and **I have paid — check again**.

## What is only on the website?

The app covers the desk, seats, members, money, lending, labels, setup and reports. Use the website to:

- download **Excel** (Pro) from Money or Reports;
- mark a copy **Lost**, **Damaged** or **Withdrawn** in the catalogue;
- add staff logins under **Sidebar › Team › People**.

## Questions people ask

### Where do I get the MJX Library app?

On Google Play — search for MJX Library, or open pathshala.mjxtechnologies.com/app/library on your phone. The app id is com.mjxtechnologies.app.library.

### Is the app login the same as the website?

Yes. Use the same mobile number or email and password. Everything you do in the app shows on the website at once.

### Can my counter staff use the app?

Yes. They sign in with their own staff login and see only what staff may do — no totals, no Money page and no Reports.

### Can the app scan books?

Yes, with the phone camera, and a Bluetooth barcode gun paired to the phone works too. It reads a copy's number, an ISBN or a member's number.

### How do I upgrade from the app?

Open More › Account › Account and plan and press Upgrade now (or Upgrade or pay). Pay by UPI, card or net banking through Razorpay; the plan changes by itself once the payment is done.
