What is MJX Library? Library management software from MJX Technologies for self-study libraries, reading rooms and lending libraries in India: members, a seat map by shift, monthly fees with receipts, renewals and dues, check-in, and a book catalogue with issue, return and fines. See the overview.
Is it for a self-study library or a book library? Both. Use seats, shifts and fees for a reading room, the catalogue and lending for books — or both together.
Can a school use it? Yes. In a school or college with the Academic module, books can be lent to students and staff as well as members. Teachers can search the catalogue; the owner and admins run the desk.
#Seats and fees
Can two members share a seat? Yes, if their hours do not overlap. See seats and shifts.
Can I give a discount or charge for a locker? Yes. In New admission or Renew, press + Discount or locker and fill Discount (₹), Locker no. and Locker fee (₹).
How many months can a booking be? New admission and Renew offer 1, 3, 6 or 12 months. A booking can be up to 24 months.
What if a member pays more than they owe? The extra shows on their page as "paid ahead" and is set against their next booking.
Can I delete a wrong receipt? No. The owner or an admin voids it with a reason. It stays on record, marked VOID, and counts for nothing. See members and fees.
Do you keep Aadhaar numbers? No. Only the ID type and its last 4 characters.
Which payment modes can I record? Cash, UPI and Card at the counter, with an optional reference number. Money is received by you directly — MJX Library records it and gives a receipt; it does not collect fees online.

Do I have to type accession numbers? You can type them, scan them from existing labels, or number every unnumbered copy in one go from Labels. See labels and printing.
Is there a late fine by default? No. You set the fine per late day, free days and a cap — or leave them empty for no fine. See book lending.
Can members reserve a book? Not today. Lending covers issue, return, due dates and fines.
#Staff and access
Can counter staff see my collections? No. Staff take fees and print receipts but never see totals, the Money page or Reports.
Can staff lend books? Only when the owner ticks Staff can lend under Setup › Lending rules.
How do I add staff? Under Sidebar › Team › People. Your plan sets how many staff logins you may have. See plans.

Is there an app? Yes, MJX Library for Android on Google Play. See the MJX Library app.
How much does it cost? Basic is ₹499 a month (₹4,999 a year); Pro is ₹999 a month (₹9,999 a year), before 18% GST. See plans.
What happens after the trial? You stay on Forever Free until you pay. Nothing is deleted.

What is MJX Library?
MJX Library is library management software from MJX Technologies for India. It runs a self-study library (seats rented by shift for a monthly fee) and a lending library (books issued and returned) in one place.
Can two people be given the same seat?
Only when their hours do not overlap — a morning member and an evening member can share seat A12. The same seat for the same hours is refused, even when two people at the counter try at the same moment.
Does it send fee reminders automatically?
No. It writes the reminder and opens WhatsApp on your phone so you send it yourself. Nothing is sent without you.
Can I use a barcode gun or my phone camera?
Both. A USB or Bluetooth barcode gun works on the Books and Lending pages and in the app; the camera button reads QR codes and barcodes.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. After the 14-day trial, MJX Library Forever Free keeps a small library running at no cost, run by one person.
Do I need another MJX product?
No. MJX Library is sold on its own.
